Bruck is the only weaver in Australia that manufactures fabric using NOMEX® fibre brand which is a Dupont registered trademark.

NOMEX® is a revolutionary, heat and flame resistant fibre that provides protection to millions of people worldwide. Firefighters and emergency personnel around the world have relied on flame resistant turnout gear, Emergency Services wear, Stationwear and accessories made of NOMEX® brand fibres for over 40 years.

Australia is a land of diverse terrain and temperature, the inclusion of the NOMEX® range expands Bruck’s extensive range of high performance fabrics to suit this diversity.

The Bruck Group offers high performance fabrics utilising aramid and para-aramid fibres to meet protective and safety requirements for workers in the following industries:

Bruck's range of ‘MELBA FORTRESS®’, ‘MELBA SHIELD®’, MELBA COMFORT ADVANTAGE®’ and ‘MELBA SENTINEL®’ when workers requiring protection and enhanced safety can access garments made from far lighter, more durable and more comfortable fabrics.

We have included the NOMEX® fabric range to compliment the traditional 310gsm and 340gsm FR cotton range. With lightweight options of NOMEX® ranging from 150gsm, 175gsm, 200gsm and 260gsm in weight, Bruck offer a choice – a choice to protect firefighters, electricians, defence and petrochemical workers as we understand that weight and comfort of garments impact on safety and performance.

The range exceeds all the requirements of the Australian Wildland Standard AS4824.
